How to Use the Meraki Dashboard
Managed Service Providers, like Team One Solutions, are interested in finding new tools and methods to deliver better service to their customers without increasing their costs. This is one of the reasons that we have partner with Cicso Meraki. We have found that the Meraki Dashboard has the right combination of functionality and ease of use to fulfill their needs.
What Can the Meraki Dashboard Do?
The heart of the Meraki product is the dashboard, a command center providing insight into the status of your network. It runs over the Internet, so it’s accessible from any location using any mainstream browser, and it includes license information, device counts and their status as well as an overall network health rating.
The best part of the Meraki Dashboard is the remote network management tool kit that enables you to monitor individual access points and to run a scan of the local environment to look for interference that might be causing poor performance. You also have the ability to initiate ping tests for a MAC address, a particular client or device, or the Meraki AP itself.
The Meraki Dashboard enables you to log support calls in a central location that securely segregates your cases. This support ticketing capability makes it easy to monitor the case status or to provide additional details to Team One Solutions.
